What your life path number tells you
Numerologists read it as what drives you, what you find hard and the kind of work and relationships that tend to suit you. There are nine single-digit life paths and three master numbers, 11, 22 and 33, which carry the qualities of 2, 4 and 6 with more intensity. Like all of numerology, it is a tool for reflection, not a scientific measure of personality.
How to find yours
Reduce your birth day, month and year to single digits separately, add them, and reduce again, stopping at 11, 22 or 33. Born March 15, 1990: the day gives 6, the month 3 and the year 1 (1990 → 19 → 10 → 1), so 6 + 3 + 1 = 10 → 1, life path 1. The life path number calculator does it for you and shows each step.

No. It comes from your date of birth, so it stays the same all your life. What changes year to year is your personal year number.
Is the life path the most important number?
Most numerologists treat it as the core number, the general direction of a life. Your expression, soul urge and personality numbers come from your name and add detail. The numerology calculator shows all of them.
Which life path number is the rarest?
Life path 33. Among birth dates from 1940 to 2010 it comes up under 1% of the time on our method, followed by 22 (about 3%) and 2 (under 5%). Life path 2 is uncommon because totals of 11, 29, 38 and 47 stop at the master number 11 instead of reducing to 2.
