What a number means in each position
The same number reads differently depending on where it sits. The Devil at point A is a magnetic personality, and in the money channel it is one of the strongest signs for earning. Each number’s page covers all ten positions.
| Position | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Point A (day of birth) | How people see you at first, and your personality |
| Point B (month) | Natural talents and what comes easily |
| Point C (year) | Your material world, work and resources |
| Point D (karmic task) | The main lesson of this life |
| Center E (comfort zone) | Where you recharge and feel most yourself |
| Money channel | How money and work flow best for you |
| Relationship line | What you need and give in love |
| Purposes | Your personal, social and spiritual direction |
| Karmic tail | A pattern carried over that needs settling |
| Health chart | Self-care themes for each chakra (reflection only) |
How the numbers connect
Numbers from 10 to 22 carry the energy of their digit sum as well as their own. Thirteen (Death) adds up to 4 (the Emperor), so its endings are about clearing space to build something solid. Many readers check this “root” when a number feels hard to place.
| Root | Numbers that add up to it |
|---|---|
| 1 | 10 (Wheel of Fortune), 19 (The Sun) |
| 2 | 11 (Strength), 20 (Judgement) |
| 3 | 12 (The Hanged Man), 21 (The World) |
| 4 | 13 (Death), 22 (The Fool) |
| 5 | 14 (Temperance) |
| 6 | 15 (The Devil) |
| 7 | 16 (The Tower) |
| 8 | 17 (The Star) |
| 9 | 18 (The Moon) |

How to read your destiny matrix numbers
- Start in the center. Point E is your comfort zone. Read it first, because every other number works with it or against it.
- Check the position, then the number. A 7 in the money channel is about earning through action, while a 7 at point A is a driven personality.
- Read plus and minus without flattering yourself. Read both lists and ask which one you see in your life more often this year.
- Count repeats. A number that appears once is a detail. Twice, it’s a pattern. Three or more times, it’s a main theme of your chart.
- Turn it into one action. Each number’s page lists simple ways to bring it into plus. Try one of them for a month.
An example: March 15, 1990
This birth date gives point A 15 (the Devil), B 3 (the Empress), C 19 (the Sun), D 10 (the Wheel of Fortune) and a center of 11 (Strength), with a karmic tail of 21-4-10. Read in plus, it describes a magnetic person (15) with a warm, creative talent (3) and strong earning potential (19), who recharges through physical energy and courage (11). The task (10) is to stop forcing results and learn good timing. In minus, the same chart can show someone driven by status, burning out by pushing too hard.
Common mistakes
- Reading one number as the whole chart. A single number is one voice. The story comes from the center, the corners and the lines together.
- Calling numbers good or bad. Every number has a plus side, including 13, 15 and 16.
- Mixing up the numbering. In the matrix 8 is Justice and 11 is Strength, the reverse of most tarot decks.
- Treating it as a prediction. The matrix describes tendencies and lessons. It doesn’t decide what happens to you.

Destiny matrix numbers FAQ
Which number matters most in my destiny matrix?
Start with the center, point E, your comfort zone. Every line of the chart runs through it, so it colors how the other numbers play out. After that, most readers look at point A (your personality) and then the karmic tail, because those three describe how you come across, where you recharge and what you are here to settle.
Is my destiny matrix number the same as my tarot birth card?
Usually not. Tarot birth cards add the month, day and year as whole numbers, while the matrix builds dozens of points from the day, the month and the digit sum of the year separately. The same 22 cards appear in both, but they rarely land on the same number, so treat them as two separate readings.
Why do some numbers never appear in the center?
The center is the sum of the four corner points, and for birth dates between 1940 and 2015 those sums never reduce to 1, 2, 15, 17, 19 or 21. Those numbers still appear elsewhere on your chart: on the corners, the money and love lines, the purposes and the karmic tail.
Is a "bad" number in my matrix a problem?
No. The Devil, Death and the Tower sound frightening, but in the matrix each one has a strong plus side: influence, renewal and rebuilding on firmer ground. A hard-sounding number shows where your work is. Once you have done that work, it often turns into one of your best strengths.
What does it mean if I don’t relate to my numbers?
You may be living a number in its minus side, or it may sit in a position that only becomes active later in life. Read the minus keywords as well as the plus ones, and check the position. A karmic task, for example, often feels unfamiliar until you have been through a few of its lessons.
Can my destiny matrix numbers change?
No. Your numbers come from your birth date, so the chart itself stays the same for life. What changes is how you live each number. The year forecast also moves through the chart as you age, so a different number takes the lead each year.
