Birth cards 19 / 10 / 1

The Sun, Wheel of Fortune & The Magician

If your tarot birth cards are the Sun, the Wheel of Fortune and the Magician, you have the only three-card result in Greer's system. Your personality number is 19, which reduces to 10 and then to 1, so you hold every member of the 1-10-19 constellation. The Sun is your outward presence, the Magician is your soul card, and the Wheel sits between them as a bridge. People with this result tend to be warm, capable and visible, with a knack for stepping forward at the right moment. The theme running through all three is creative self-expression with good timing.

How you get this pair

Add the month, day and full year, then add the digits. For March 9, 1978: 3 + 9 + 1978 = 1990, and 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, the Sun, your personality card. Then 1 + 9 = 10, the Wheel of Fortune, and 1 + 0 = 1, the Magician, your soul card.

Because 19 passes through 10 on its way to 1, you collect three cards instead of two. Under Greer's method this result belongs to people born in 1988 or earlier, and returns for people born from 2046.

To confirm the pair from your own birthday, run the birth card calculator. The formula is on our methodology page.

How the cards work together

The Sun shows a child riding a white horse in front of a wall of sunflowers under a huge, smiling sun. It is the most openly joyful card in the deck. The Wheel of Fortune turns in the sky, with four winged creatures in the corners, a picture of cycles and timing. The Magician stands at his table with the four suit tools, turning will into action.

With the Sun as your personality, you may come across as warm and confident, most yourself when creating, performing, leading or being around people. The Magician soul gives that warmth a craft: your deeper aim is to turn talent and intention into something real. The Wheel between them adds an instinct for when to step forward.

All three cards share the same root, so there is less inner tension than in most pairs. The shadow side is overextension, ego, or leaning on charm and luck more than effort. The Sun can tip into needing an audience, the Wheel into restlessness, the Magician into manipulation. The combination does best when success is shared, skill keeps growing, and people get to see who you are.

The Sun, Wheel of Fortune & The Magician in love

You tend to be generous, affectionate and fun. The Sun brings warmth and play, the Magician attentive conversation, and the Wheel can give the start of a relationship a feeling of perfect timing. You may be the one who plans the adventures.

The Sun's shadow in love is making the relationship about your own shine. Your partner needs a turn in the light too. Relationships thrive when you stay present through ordinary and difficult stretches as well as the bright ones, and when steady affection counts as much as grand gestures.

The Sun, Wheel of Fortune & The Magician at work

Visible, creative and entrepreneurial work suits you: performing, teaching, public speaking, leadership, marketing, media, design, sales, work with children and starting businesses. The Magician adds technical or communication skill and the Wheel adds timing, so launches and trend-spotting come naturally.

Your career may include several pivots that only look like a coherent story afterward. The cautions are burnout from always being on, and chasing recognition over substance. Mastering one craft thoroughly, and building a team that covers your weak spots, keeps your success solid.

Hidden factor cards

You have no hidden factor card. All three members of the 1-10-19 constellation are already in your result, so nothing in the group is held back. Many readers see this as a unified pattern with little inner friction. The trade-off is that your challenges tend to arrive from outside the group, which makes your tarot year cards especially useful for spotting what each year asks of you. Every group is listed in the tarot constellations guide.

Growing with this pair

Add depth to brightness. Commit to mastering a single skill over several years; the Magician grows through practice, and long craft gives the Sun's confidence something solid underneath.

Notice what you do when nobody is watching. If you deflate without an audience, build sources of satisfaction that do not depend on praise. And work with the Wheel by tracking your cycles: which months or years tend to bring openings? Knowing your rhythm lets you plan ahead and lean less on luck. The personality card vs soul card guide explains how the cards divide the job.

Questions to journal on

  1. What do I love doing even when no one is watching?
  2. Which skill would I like to master over the next five years?
  3. Where do I rely on charm or luck when preparation would serve me better?
  4. Who deserves a turn in the spotlight, and how can I give it to them?

Frequently asked questions

Why do I have three birth cards instead of two?

You reduce the personality number to a single digit to find the soul card. Most numbers get there in one step, but 19 becomes 10 and then 1, so you pass through three Major Arcana cards. It is the only three-card result in the system. The Sun is your personality card and the Magician your soul card, with the Wheel linking them.

Another calculator says I am the Wheel of Fortune and the Magician. Which is right?

Some sites add month, day and the two halves of the year. For March 9, 1978 that gives 3 + 9 + 19 + 78 = 109, which reduces to 10. Across every date from 1900 to 2030, that method never returns 19 for people Greer places at the Sun. Both results sit in the 1-10-19 constellation, so the themes overlap. Why calculators give different results has the full comparison.

Who can get the Sun as a personality card?

Under Greer's method you need a total whose digits add to 19, such as 1990, which in practice means people born in 1988 or earlier. Totals for people born from 1989 do not add to 19 again until births from 2046. Younger people can still reach the Sun through the arcana number calculator, which adds all eight digits of the date.
